Bodyline- Half Price Sale?

Bodyline fans will be pleased to hear that Mr Yan's birthday 50% off sale has just started. It was on the Japanese website yesterday and has literally just started on the international website.

BUT here is the catch... I was on the Bodyline website yesterday and earlier today before the sale started. A majority of the items have NOT been reduced by 50% like Bodyline are claiming. In fact, some of the prices have fallen by only a small amount. Also, not everything is included in the sale. The sock prices have not dipped and a lot of the wigs etc are the same price too. Don't be fooled by the 50% off banner.

I just placed a mini order (it was a lot quicker than last year but I was on the website at the exact moment the sale started so I got there before the rush). Now before anybody mentions the post I made about money last week, you will be pleased to hear that I only ordered 2 items from the Need side of my Want Vs. Need list! I am still intending to save all my spare money to treat myself at the end of the year as planned. I just thought I should try and get a bargain.

Sadly, the prices are nowhere near as good as some people may be expecting.

Why why why...

So I pre-order Meta's new Fairy Tale series, my mum books a family holiday (and as a result, I can't go to Hyper Japan this year!) and I generally have a very busy Summer ahead of me. In other words, I don't have a great deal of money at the moment and probably wont again until September. I saw the Meta Summer Lucky packs go up and I wasn't too bothered about missing these, despite the fact that the bags were really cute. I saw some people got Perfume Bottle in their packs, but I was still happy.

And then the sale started...

One of my beloved Meta prints of last year is a part of this sale. I have been incredibly stupid because I knew Meta would have a sale. I have to watch on as the dress I have wanted ever since its release keeps getting lower and lower in price. And every time it is reduced further it gets even more painful. There is no way I can purchase it at the moment but I know for a fact that I will never see this dress at such a low price again. I keep asking myself why I had to go spending all my money. I need a firm kick up the backside to get myself sorted! Surely, I am not the only person this has happened to...

I cannot stress this enough- I would recommend to any lolita reading this to always keep a little money aside just in case your dream piece makes a sudden appearance. If you have multiple dream items, make a list of which items would take top priority.

Sorry if this post sounds whiny. The reason I posted this is because I want to highlight my stupidity so I will hopefully learn my lesson!

Meta shoe and boot sale

If you have not heard already, Meta are having a sale on all their boots and shoes. Sadly, all my money is currently tied up so I can't join in myself. I am still paying my husband off for the duck skirt!

The savings on offer are not particularly huge but I am just passing the info on.

My friend Alice recently won a prize in the Hyper Japan favourite outfit competition. She didn't want the prize so guess who got lucky! I just bagged myself a free Baby parasol!!!! And my Bodyline order has arrived so I shall be reviewing that soon. Stay tuned!
