How I Would Wear it Now- Bodyline Carousel Edition

I figured it had been a while since my last 'How I would Wear it Now' post, where I take a look back at my past poor outfit choices and consider how I would wear it if I were to co-ordinate it today. So today I am revisiting that Bodyline carousel print that almost every Bodyline fan from around 2010 seemed to own. I find that when I usually do these posts, I get a little bit nostalgic and there have been a few times where I wonder if I was too hasty selling things. But in all honesty, I feel no such sentimental feelings towards this particular skirt I used to own. As time has gone on, I find more that I dislike about it. Present day me is wondering what 2010 me was thinking! I guess I just find the print a bit too cartoonish now, but back in the day I absolutely loved this skirt. It probably didn't help that the skirt sold out so quickly, that I had to get the T2L length, which was super long but did not have the volume to make a decent sweet lolita shape. The separately sold head bow was your typical Bodyline 'helicopter' style head bow, which looked ridiculous when worn. I came very close to buying the tote bag and making my own head bow.

I only properly wore the carousel skirt once, and I looked a total mess. This was back in the days where I was still trying to build my wardrobe up and I hadn't really been prepared for the massive amount of snow we had that Winter. So I had to wear it with black boots, as they were the only ones I had that could withstand the few feet of snow. I learnt a valuable lesson about building up my wardrobe basics that day. Typically, the meet got cancelled as I was walking to the train station!

So this is how I would wear this skirt now in 2016. For a more Winter (or snowstorm) appropriate look, I would probably switch to pink legwear and wear white boots and put on a nice, fluffy white coat. As I never really properly wore my skirt out before I sold it, I decided to go have a look at how other people had co-ordinated this print. I found that there were quite a few common themes that appeared, especially twin tail wigs. Seeing as twin tail wigs were a big thing around 2010 but have fallen out of favour a bit now, I felt that I should really do an outfit that didn't rely on twin tails to make it feel a bit more up to date. So out comes the beret, my trusted go-to hair accessory! I would pin the pink Chocomint star to the bow on the beret, just to spread the pink out a bit. I wanted to make the most of the pinks, yellows and purples that appear in the print. Fortunately the BTSSB necklace has all 3 of those colours covered, as does the Maniaq tights. Sometimes when making collages online it is hard to get a grasp of how an outfit will look like when worn, which is why I couldn't quite decide between the yellow or pink ring. The Red Maria cuffs could also be switched out for sax blue ones, although I did wonder if maybe that was a bit too much sax blue. I didn't want to add any more pony details, as I felt the star theme was strong enough by itself.

I think my new outfit looks reasonably well thought out, or at least it does compared to the outfit I came up with in 2010! Back in the day, I relied to much on the colour black, when I should have been buying more white coloured items. I suppose it is because black clothing is generally easier to get hold of. Thankfully, I have gotten over that as time has gone on. I just hope this new outfit redeems me a little bit. 

Recent Haul- Late June/ Early July 2016

So as I sort of promised, I am doing another haul post of things I have purchased outside of my usual Taobao and other shopping reviews, mainly my auction buys and anything I have brought from shops I have purchased from loads and no longer feel the need to dedicate a blog review to. 

Lately I have been pushing myself to fill in the necessary gaps in my wardrobe. Although I have lots of off-white and ivory blouses, this Innocent World blouse is my first long sleeved off-white blouse that isn't chiffon. As much as I love my chiffon blouses, it is very awkward wearing them with skirts, as you then have to wear a camisole underneath to stop your underwear from showing. Although I have been okay with doing this in the past, I just wanted to own a good, cotton blouse that I could just wear by itself. Also, I find I don't always want to wear a super floaty chiffon blouse, as it doesn't always fit the overall feel of an outfit. This Innocent World blouse had been hanging around on the Japanese auctions for ages and I finally decided to go ahead and get it. I initially put a bid on, despite the buy it now being reasonable, as I see no harm in trying to get something for a little bit cheaper. Unfortunately, the second I put a bid on, it seemed to spur other Japanese bidders to have a go for it as well (typical!). So I ended up doing the buy it now anyway. There was a bit of confusion, as the seller accidentally got 2 auctions mixed up and sent Japonica the wrong blouse. Luckily, Japonica were able to handle the mix up brilliantly, and I got the blouse I won eventually.

My initial thought was that the cotton felt super soft. I have so many crispy paper-like Bodyline blouses, that I had sort of forgotten how lovely brand cotton blouses can be. The lace is lovely too. I got one of the trump button blouses (I don't know the exact release, as IW have done a few of these trump button ones). The buttons are so pretty, but I have to admit that I found them really annoying to actually button up! They can be a bit fiddly.

Once I had conquered doing up the buttons, I was relieved to find that the blouse fitted me okay. This blouse was missing the ties that help make the blouse smaller, but I seemed to have gotten the ideal size for me anyway. As you can see, the arms are a good length on me as well. I think the blouse is ever so slightly see-through, but not so much that a camisole is needed. I will be testing this out with a nude bra and the camera flash before I wear this out though!

I love the rose lace on the collar. The collar is perhaps a bit bigger than I was expecting, but I quite like it.

I had a bit of an accident with my long-sleeved black Bodyline blouse which saw the colour run, so I got this Angelic Pretty blouse as a sort-of replacement. It was only when I put this AP blouse next to my Bodyline one that I realised how faded my Bodyline one had become. The cotton was again very soft, as was all of the lace.

A picture with the flash, just to show up all the details. The ribbon has buttons to detach it. As this blouse is a little bit sweeter than my Bodyline blouse, I like that one of the cutest details is at detachable. Perhaps I will be able to use this blouse in a more varied way. 

There is even lace running up the arms! 

The collar is again maybe a bit bigger than I was hoping, but I think it looks pretty good worn. Please excuse the hastily tied bow.

I have to admit though, that I am disappointed with the fit. The blouse is maybe a bit smaller on me than I would have hoped, but my main issue is the torso length is quite short. I decided to add this photo to demonstrate this point. I have a feeling I will mainly be wearing this blouse under JSKs, rather than with skirts... Although weirdly, the arm length was absolutely fine on me. I guess I will just have to be careful.

I also managed to get hold of AP's Cosmic necklace in navy x gold, which came shortly after my last haul post. Well, it is meant to be navy, but in person it actually almost looks black. If you hold it up to the light you can see a slight tinge of blue. I am not going to lie- I intend to wear this as if it were black! The cluster of stars on the chain is a nice touch too, and the star charm at the top is stamped with the AP initials as usual. I absolutely love this necklace and I want to get it in clear x gold as well. I am also still on the lookout for the matching ring. If you see it then please let me know.

Finally, I got a pair of Bodyline shoes in beige. The style number is S519. A part of me was secretly hoping they would be less beige, as they look almost off-white in the stock photos. I suppose it serves me right for trusting Bodyline stock photos. I was very annoyed to discover that my shoes had arrived with marks on them, and one patch was even a bit sticky. The marks came off okay with no damage, but this is not acceptable. This is why I very rarely order from Bodyline now, because the quality control is appalling. 

The bows are quite well shaped, and I like the heart scalloping. The stitching is generally quite neat. There was a slight glue mark on the inside of one shoe, but it was quite small.

I like that there is a slight heel. The heel has generally been done to satisfactory level. It feels quite sturdy.

The straps are a good length with plenty of holes to adjust them. These shoes have poppers like pretty much all of the major brand and Bodyline shoes. Size-wise, I found this style ran true to size. I got my usual 25cm size and they fitted me fine. I have only worn these for a few hours around the house so far, so I can't really judge how comfortable they are yet. So far, they seem quite comfortable and on the same level as other Bodyline shoes. 

So I have managed to successfully fill a few wardrobe holes and tick yet another item off my wishlist. The shoes were a little disappointing though, with the colour being quite a dark beige and them coming with those stains. I am also pleased to say that I went and brought a bottle of YSL's Black Opium Nuit Blanche, after featuring it in my recent post about perfume. I have done pretty well shopping-wise lately, and I am eager to go out and find some bargains soon.

How I Would Wear It Now- Bodyline Alice Edition

I decided to have yet another go at taking a piece I used to own which I didn't co-ordinate very well, and try to see how I would wear it now. Today's piece from the past is the Bodyline Alice in Wonderland print skirt. I remember when this skirt first came out and I instantly fell in love with it. Sadly, I sold it after wearing it just a few times. I didn't feel like I could do anything great with this skirt and I think the biggest problem was that in my mind I felt that as it was Alice in Wonderland themed, that meant everything had to be OTT and crazy, because that is what it is like in Wonderland! So my outfits with this skirt featured a lot of crazy ideas but my outfits were never that cohesive and I just threw things together. So for my present day outfit collage, I have decided to go against that old belief and I tried to put together an outfit that wasn't OTT and had a bit more maturity and thought put in to it.

So this is my attempt at doing a slightly more toned-down outfit with the Alice skirt. I maybe played it a bit safe with my choices, but that was one of my aims when putting it together. One thing I forgot about this skirt is that the colours are a bit strange. As it was the blue and pink skirt I used to own, I of course wanted to use that as part of this co-ordinate challenge. Again, back in the day I used to think that anything Alice in Wonderland had to be blue. I think as far as the colours go, the blue version was by far the most difficult colour to go for! Shalisa owns the skirt in red still, and when I look at it I can think of loads more ways that colour could be co-ordinated. The blue on this skirt was a lot deeper than sax blue, more of a periwinkle blue or perhaps a cornflower blue. So those were the colours I tried searching for online. Sadly, I didn't have much success finding a pair of shoes the right colour, so I ended up only adding a small touch of the blue with the nail polish. So I decided to focus on the peachy pink colour instead. After all, the pink is also very prominent in the skirt. When I owned this skirt I used to pair it with a lot of red. I decided to include a bit of red in the outfit, but I didn't want it to be over-whelming. Hopefully the colours in my collage are fairly well balanced. I am still disappointed I couldn't find the right pair of blue shoes. 

Looking back, there are loads of mini themes that could be used in an outfit with this skirt, which I didn't think of before. You could try to use the small hints of gold in the print, which for some reason I never spotted when I owned it! There is also the mushrooms, or you could focus on one individual character in the print. If I had owned the red version, I would definitely consider a red queen outfit.

I actually felt a bit sad writing this post, as I don't feel I really gave my Alice skirt a fair chance before I sold it. This skirt used to be one of my wishlist prints! (I didn't have a job back when it came out, so I couldn't just buy Bodyline whenever I pleased) I feel really content with my current wardrobe though, so this skirt probably wont be making its way back in to my wardrobe either. It also felt good to take a trip down memory lane and I am confident this new oufit collage looks a lot better than anything I came up with back when I was a newer lolita.

How I Would Wear It Now- Bodyline Gingham Strawberry JSK

I thought I would try doing another How I Would Wear It Now post using a piece I used to own. Today's dress is one that I sold earlier this year when I sadly had to downsize my wardrobe a little bit after the rail inside collapsed (on Christmas Day, no less!). I have since done a bit of reinforcement to the rail and added an additional rail and of all the stuff I sold, I miss this dress the most. This gingham strawberry dress was my very first Bodyline piece and I felt that I had "unfinished business" with this dress because I felt there were more outfits I could have made with it. However, I hadn't worn this dress in such a long time that I felt that it had to go. I never really wore an outfit with this dress that I thought was too bad, like I have with previous How I Would Wear It Now pieces but it doesn't stop me thinking of new outfits I could have made with it.

So this is possibly how I would consider wearing this dress if I still had it. It feels a bit weird posting a Summery outfit when we are well in to Autumn but despite being a big Fall fan, I have strangely been missing Summer! I guess being cooped up inside with poor health for the past few weeks and the darker, shorter days have made me crave a little piece of Summer. This outfit definitely reflects Summer, with no blouse and just a bolero to cover up. I couldn't decide on a pair of shoes because I couldn't remember if the pink shoes were the right shade for the dress. I love looking up strawberry accessories because berries have always been a favourite theme of mine, even if I do get a bit sick of the constant barrage of strawberry prints the brands put out each Spring! I would wear my hair in low, fluffy pigtails and use the mini pink bows to tie them to add an extra bit of pink.

Since selling this dress I have obtained 2 new strawberry prints and I still have another strawberry print, so perhaps I will be wearing something similar to this collage in the future! So I am trying not to feel too sad that I no longer have this dress. I just hope the person who brought it loves it as much as I did a few years ago.

Birthday Haul and a Valentines Thank you!

It was my birthday on Monday and I have lots of lovely new lolita-related things to review, but first things first, I need to write a thank you! I got a birthday valentine on Lolita Valentines on Sunday and I just wanted to say it was really appreciated. I have a strong feeling I know who made it, but whoever it was, thank you!

So I had a really great time. I went on multiple adventures in both London and Oxford and got to see lots of lovely friends. I didn't dress up in lolita or anything because the UK is currently in the middle of a heatwave. Layering up in heavy frills is the last thing I feel like doing right now and I have been surviving on ice lollies.

But I thought people might like to see what I got and maybe do a bit of reviewing here and there.

First up, I got Gothic Lolita Punk from my friends Jo and Chris. I have not had a proper chance to read it yet, but after flicking through, it mainly seems to be a picture book which showcases well known lolita artists. There are familiar names such as Kira Imai, but some lesser known ones too. Although I may not follow the art tutorials, it is interesting finding out the process behind the art work. It is also quite fun to quickly flick through and admire the art. I think it is a shame that so few artists are represented in the book, but maybe that is because it is such a niche style that there are so few well-known artists.

I also got some Chocomint accessories and an Angelic Pretty ring from my husband James. I thought the kiss earrings would look cute with my Sugar Hearts skirt. They are the right sort of style and colour. The earrings are very heavy and maybe not for everyday wear. I have also decided to keep them wrapped up safely in bubble wrap because I fear I may break them! The design is very cute though. The felt stars have a 2 way clip on the back, just like their bigger 2 way clips. You can see the clip poking out very slightly, but it is only from certain angles. The felt has been cut well with no fluffy edges and the stitching is very neat. I have been looking to get an AP Sugar Hearts ring for ages, so I am ecstatic that James managed to get me one! The ring is typical of any AP jewellery. The ring is thick plastic and very firm.

I also got given this pink cardigan from James. I already reviewed the same cardigan in red before on this blog. The colour is a bit more salmon pink than pure pink but it will still match a lot of things in my wardrobe. I still think it is very cute.

James also got me these Bodyline chiffon blouses in black and pink. In recent times, my Bodyline items have arrived with small stains and stuff on them. This time around there were no such stains, but my black blouse was missing one of the sleeve bows. So in the end I took the other bow off to make it look even. That aside, the blouses were just fine and there was nothing wrong with the pink blouse at all. The pink blouse is again a bit more salmon pink than sugary pink, but in this case I actually prefer that.

The front ruffle is very generous. I found it made my bust area look a bit bigger! The ruffles really stick out and are full of volume. They have been generously gathered. I quite like the effect, but I think if they had been gathered any more then it would have been too OTT. There were a few loose threads, but otherwise the sewing is neat with no major issues. The buttons are a bit simple in design but are a reasonably good quality.

The sleeves are very stretchy. I found there was plenty of room in the sleeves and they felt very comfortable. The elastic isn't too tight. The pink bows are a slightly different colour but not too noticeable. I think the sleeves are perfect and they are super comfortable.

The back has a ribbon corset on the back, which will help make the blouse a bit smaller if need be. I worry the lace hoops holding the ribbon in place may fray or become damaged, but this seems to be quite a typical design for lots of brands.

Being chiffon, the material is a bit see-through. If I were intending to wear this blouse with a camisole underneath (instead of under a JSK) then I would need to cut these labels out. If you didn't know the labels were there, then maybe you wouldn't notice them, but I am still considering cutting them out.

And here is a very poor worn picture of the blouse with a camisole underneath! I apologise for the bad picture. I took it whilst my husband was at work, so I had to do a mirror shot. I think it looks really pretty when worn. I think the website's size listings were pretty accurate. The materials feel really soft too. It is just as comfortable as some of my other chiffon blouses and feels so light.

Bodyline Boots 225 Review

Today I am reviewing the new boots I have ordered from Bodyline. These boots are SHOE 225, or as I know them, the rose boots. I have wanted to own these boots ever since they first appeared on the Bodyline website so I am glad I finally own them. They had been restocked but had unfortunately had run out of my size, so I went half a CM up.

The boots arrived in one of Bodyline's plastic shipping bags and I was really concerned my boots had been packaged with no protection at all. 

However, when I opened up the parcel I did find the boots were wrapped in bubble wrap. Considering in the past I have received Bodyline shoes merely wrapped in tissue paper, I was quite relieved to see my boots did actually have a bit of protection during shipping.

Inside the boots were stuffed to help keep the shape.

The roses are held in place by simple clips. I am a little worried the roses are not very stable. When I opened the boots some of the roses had fallen off so I wonder how they will hold up when being worn. I have heard that some people received their boots with squished roses, but mine seemed to be in good shape.

There were some marks on the boots where the rose clips are attached. I suppose this is probably wear and tear from where the clips dig in. It does mean that I am hesitant to wear the boots without the clips though, because although the marks are small, I know they are there still.

The zips were very easy to undo and didn't get caught at all. I have experienced boots with tough zips before, so this was a very pleasant surprise.

The boot material is pretty much the same quality as my other Bodyline shoes. I imagine that for the price I paid, they will hold up well and I will get a decent amount of wear out of them. My main complaint about the boots is the calf circumference. I do not have large calves, but they are very toned and muscular. I did find that the boots zipped up a bit tight around my calves. These boots would certainly not be suitable for a plus sized wearer. Even some larger regular sized wearers may find that these are a bit of a tight fit. The other concern I have is the way the boot material creases when worn. I wore these boots for a short time and they started to crease around the ankle area. I am worried that over time these creases will leave permanent wrinkles. In the end, the extra half CM by going up a size didn't make a massive amount of difference because of the way my feet sit in the boots. When I felt the toes of the boots you could tell my toes didn't reach the end of the boots but I felt this wasn't a real issue. Aside from being slightly tight on the calf, the boots were otherwise comfortable. I wanted to get the boots in black too and I am tempted to go half a CM size up for those as well because at least I know this size feels comfortable.

So overall, I feel that although I am happy with my boots, they probably deserve a neutral rating. The boots are definitely for those with a small calf measurement, but I was still able to wear the boots and felt comfortable. I am more concerned that over time the boots will wrinkle and crease. I think the rose clips could do with being a bit more secure too, but maybe after a few wears I will have a better idea of how well they hold up. I am still looking to buy these boots in black too, and my experience with these boots has not put me off going ahead with that purchase.

Christmas 2013 Haul!

 I hope everybody had a good Christmas! I certainly enjoyed myself. I was lucky enough to spend time with great people and I got given some fantastic presents too. In case anybody was curious to see what I got, I decided to do a post/review on the Japanese fashion relevant presents I got given.

Here is my cute haul in full. My presents were mainly from Bodyline, including blouse L373 in pink. I wont be reviewing this blouse, as I already have this exact same blouse in lavender and I am sure I reviewed it when I got that one. But in summary, I really like it and I am glad I have a replacement for my other pink blouse.

I was also given this book on kawaii culture in Japan. I am still in the process of reading it, so I will have to let you know what it is like when I am finished. So far, it is proving interesting reading. I haven't really learnt any new stuff from it, but it has given me a new insight in to all things kawaii.

I was also given 2 pairs of wrist cuffs from Stocking Shock. This is the Circus style of cuff. I really like the velvet bows and the star charms. I know the cuffs look a bit wonky in the photo, but they look much better when worn. Stocking Shock's cuffs are a bit smaller than some other wrist cuffs (I am looking at you, Bodyline!) but I actually prefer this. I don't like wrist cuffs that look too bulky. The gold lace used is very pretty, although feels slightly scratchy. It's a shame the lace isn't a bit softer, but at least it looks nice. The only other criticism I have is the lavender bows are a different colour to the main shade of lavender on the cuffs. 

I was also given tights LEG356 which feature a cute bunny design. In the past I have been a bit wary of getting tights from Bodyline because I once received a pair which were really thin and flimsy. I was really scared I was going to ladder them before I had even had a chance to wear them. These tights are a little bit thicker. They are still a bit on the thin side, but they don't feel as flimsy as the previous pair I ordered. The black part of the tights is bold and stays opaque when worn. The ears of the bunny are slightly faded in comparison to the rest of the black though. The size is one-size and I found them quite comfortable. I am about 5'4'' and slightly bottom heavy and I didn't have any troubles fitting in them at all.

Unfortunately, not all the items from Bodyline were what I expected.

This is cutsew L540 in pink. I made the mistake of saying I wanted a size L, because I have wide shoulders. I would have fitted the M size with stretch room to spare and the size L looks a bit like a tent on me. But this was my own fault for under-estimating the stretch capability of the top.

The design for the cutsew is very cute. The print on the front is crisp and stands out. I also love the frilly detail on the collar, finished off with pearls. It is nice to have a cutsew with a bit of detail to it, otherwise it can look far too casual. The material is soft and the frill has been gathered well. I would have maybe put a few more pearls around the collar.

I was less than frilled to discover that once again, my brand new Bodyline had arrived stained. This is not even the only stain I found. I am sure a lot of my readers will be aware of the recent saga with Venus Angelic and Bodyline. There are a few bits of interesting information I know about Bodyline. The first, is that Bodyline models will model the M size clothing. As we found out during the massive post Bodyline put up, Bodyline will resell the pieces worn by their models but they allegedly didn't with the ones Venus modelled because they smelt and the clothes got thrown away. From that comment, I am guessing Bodyline does not make an effort to clean their products before they sell them on. Another piece of information that is important here is that apparently in the Bodyline stores in Japan, they wont let you try the clothes on and instead will get your measurements so they can recommend a size for you.

Because my top is a size L and customers supposedly don't try the clothes on in store, this means that nobody should have tried my top on. But where did the stains come from? My only guess is they must have come from the warehouse. I appreciate their warehouse is huge and they can't check everything, but I still don't think this acceptable. As I have mentioned, this is not the first time this has happened and it is really putting me off ordering from Bodyline in the future. I don't want to be worrying about mysterious stains on my new stuff. However, it is worth pointing out that the rest of my order was free of stains. I guess it is just bad luck that I got a stained item.

The top is definitely too big for me, but I was thinking of removing the pearls from the collar and then using it as nightwear. The material is lovely and soft and does remind me of pyjamas. Once I get the stains out, it will be perfect for lounging about in. I am a little hesitant about ordering myself a size M of this top in case I am unlucky and get another stained item.

Well, it is a shame I am ending this post on such a negative note, but I am genuinely happy with all of my other presents. The important thing is I got to spend quality time with the people I love over the festive period. I hope all of you had a brilliant time over the holiday period as well!

Ox Loli Halloween Meet 2013- Terror Tuesdays at the Castle!

On Tuesday I hosted this years Oxfordshire Lolitas Halloween meet. I wanted to do something a bit different this year, so I booked us in to one of the Terror Tuesdays being held at the Oxford Castle.

I didn't really leave myself enough time to create an outfit so in the end I recycled a fair bit of my outfit from last year's 'Kuro Bride' outfit. Only, this time I was a witch! My outfit is made up of Bodyline and off-brand pieces. 

Unfortunately, we were not allowed to take photos inside of the castle but that is understandable considering that they want to preserve the castle as much as possible. So I will just have to describe what happened instead! We were led around inside the castle by people wearing ghoulish costumes. Our little tour included being locked in one of the castle's old padded cells (it used to be a prison) and being led down in to the crypts which are meant to be haunted. At one point we got given dust masks, which made for some interesting photos when we got outside. For some reason, my camera thinks that Michelle is a ghost! I think it adds a special touch to the feel of the photos though! I have kept my mask as a memento.

Afterwards we went to the pub (where I ate far too many chips) and then it was time to go home again. The castle was a great deal of fun. I heard a rumour that one year they did ghost hunting in the crypts which I hope they do again some time because I would definitely love to do that. The crypts definitely had a spooky atmosphere when we went in them. Although Michelle grabbing my arm in the dark may have contributed that...

Bodyline wig 089 review

I am finally getting around to a post I was meant to write weeks ago...

This time I ordered wig 089 in Medium Brown 4. This is what the stock photo looks like-

The reviews I have seen for this wig have been good and I loved how thick the base wig looked in the stock photos. The wig was packaged in the exact same way as the last one. The wig pieces were wrapped individually in nets, placed inside a cardboard circle and then put inside a bag. 

The wig didn't really live up to my expectations. In this photo I had already worn the wig once, so it has been brushed out a bit, but the curls didn't have a great shape to them to begin with.

A shot of the back. The colour is very lovely. The wig has got a slight shine to it, but I don't think the shine looks too bad.

The main problem I am having with this wig is that is gets tangled and frizzy very easily. It was like this when I initially got it and I have been battling the frizz with it ever since. It got so bad at one point that I almost didn't wear it to the Frock On event and I spent most of the day worrying that my wig looked awful. It is definitely going to need a lot of TLC.

The clips are done in the same way as my other Bodyline wig. Thankfully the clips are not as frizzy as the base wig, but you can see there are still some flyaway strands. For some reason, I have found it hard to get the clips in to a good position on the base wig. They don't seem to look that natural and I think they will require a bit of brushing out to make them sit on the wig better.

The top looks relatively the same as my other Bodyline wig. Thankfully the top bit looks lovely and smooth!

The wig cap on this wig feels a bit more generous size-wise. I found the cap easy to adjust as well. The base wig is a bit thicker than my other Bodyline wig, and I think it is possible to get away with wearing the base wig by itself.

And, finally, a random photo of me wearing the base wig. I spent most of the day with the wig mainly covered by my bonnet, but I will see if I can find some better shots of me wearing the wig!

So overall, I think the wig is a lovely colour, fits well and is reasonably thick. But the tangling is a big problem, the base wig loses its curls very easily and the clips don't sit on the wig quite right. I guess now I understand why people say Bodyline wigs are a bit hit and miss. I am going to try and give the wig a good brushing and styling before I completely write this wig off though. Hopefully I can restore it to the way it was meant to look!
